Dandadan Chapter 4 – Let’s Go To The John

Okarun shouts while calling Ayase. He is stomping hard, saying he needs to use the John (toilet).
Momo explains she can't use her powers on him if something obstructs his view.
Ayase says he can see a blue flame or aura around Okarun and that she can control it.
Okarun says she can grab the blue flames and seize control of them. Granny says her powers seem limited.
Momo imagines the time when she released her powers back in the Serpoian's lab. Grandma tells her to close her eyes.
Grandma tells Ayase to use her other senses to control Okaru's aura. Ayase grabs Okaru's aura and feels it cold.
Okarun is still stomping on the ground. Momo closes her eyes while grabbing Okarun's aura.
Okarun transforms into a cursed Okarun, but Momo changes him back to normal. Okarun runs to the bathroom, and Momo chases him.
Okarun and Momo race to the bathroom. Grandma joins the race. Momo stumbles after Grandma mentions Ken Takakura.
Okarun is sitting in the toilet, pooping. Momo is using her powers behind the door. Grandma stands beside the door.
Momo turns to her Grandma, who says she has a lot of latent power. She notices her nose bleeding.
Suddenly, Okarun transforms into cursed Okarun with an ugly head while pooping inside the toilet.
Momo tells Turbo Granny that she is in the bathroom, but she doesn't respond. Turbo Granny says time only flows for the two of them.
Turbo Granny says he can curse anyone Okarun sees. She tells Momo to come to the tunnel tonight.
Suddenly, everything is back to normal, but Okarun and Grandma's nose bleeds. Grandma sees the seal broken.
Cut to the scene, Grandma is performing a ritual with Momo and Okarun in peculiar attire.
Grandma says their outfit is for protection. She keeps sermoning Momo about the troubles she's getting into.
Grandma hugs Momo from behind and tells her not to die. She watches Momo riding a bicycle with Okarun.
Momo and Okarun are on a train because the tunnel is too far for a bike. Momo wants to defeat Turbo Granny for hurting her Grandma.

    I like how the anime dealt with Momo’s costume change between issues 4 and 5. It is a great example of how a show can positively build upon the source material in a way that is in step with the characters’ personalities. Good show!
